It was a hit! The Fashion for Action 2021 team pulled out all the stops to deliver a magical night of shopping, plus a few more days of crazy good deals in person and on our Housing Works eShop. Thanks to you, we raised over $250,000!
We kicked off the night with DJ Mia Moretti, followed by speeches from Housing Works President Matthew Bernardo and event co-chair Nigel Barker, then DJ Sammy Jo took over the music to end the night. Of course, the event wouldn’t have been the same without donations directly from the closets of our fashion icons: Iris Apfel, Mickey Boardman, Carmen Dell’Orefice, Patricia Field, Kathy Hilton, Misa Hylton, Joan Jett, Betsey Johnson, Padma Lakshmi, Chloë Sevigny, and Kimora Lee Simmons. The shopping experience also featured top designer items for 50-80% off retail prices from brands such as Coach, Dolce & Gabbana, Todd Snyder, Stella McCartney, Sperry, NIKE, Steve Madden, and many more. We are so grateful for every collection donated, and so are our shoppers!
All proceeds from the event go to support Housing Works and our life-saving services. In the 18 years Fashion for Action has been held, we’ve raised almost $9 million dollars for Housing Works’ mission! We couldn’t have done it without the help of our customers, our staff, and volunteers.
